Banpu Listed in DJSI for 11th Consecutive Year​

Banpu Public Company Limited, a leading versatile energy company, has been selected as an index constituent of the Dow Jones Sustainability Indices (DJSI) for the 11th consecutive year. This achievement reflects Banpu’s unwavering commitment to sustainable energy delivery while meeting the rising global energy demands. The Company continues to operate with a focus on Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles, underscoring its dedication to creating a sustainable future.​

This year, Banpu achieved a higher DJSI score, driven by significant advancements in three key areas. The Company enhanced its waste and pollutants management by implementing comprehensive policies covering all types of waste across its business operations. The Company also strengthened its materiality assessment through ongoing stakeholder surveys conducted by external parties and adopted a double materiality approach to evaluate sustainability issues from both impacts on business operations and on the environment and society. Additionally, Banpu demonstrated its commitment to transparency and reporting by disclosing performance data aligned with the Sustainability Taxonomy in its 2023 Sustainability Report, reinforcing its dedication to sustainable development and robust ESG practices.​

Banpu Chachoengsao and DMCR Unite to Launch the “Cooperation on Marine Debris Management at Estuaries” – Bang Pakong River Project on World Oceans Day

The project aims to promote the collective participation of relevant sectors in managing and solving marine waste problems sustainably; utilize technology and innovation to manage marine waste effectively. It also seeks to reduce waste in the Bang Pakong River by 30% within the project timeline in 2027 and create additional value from waste management to generate income for the community. These efforts align with the national marine waste management master plan and contribute to its success.

Banpu Promotes Learning about Electric Vehicles, Giving ‘EV City’ Board Game to 30 Educational Institutions​

Recently, Banpu Public Company Limited, an international versatile energy provider, has delivered ‘EV City’ board game to 30 educational institutions across the country to promote learning about the electric vehicle industry for the new generation in a fun and creative way. The EV City board game was designed by TU Next, a team of students from Thammasat University which won a board game design contest under the project “Energy on Board by BANPU B-Sports Thailand 2021” with the topic “Driving Thailand’s E-mobility”. The game was developed in collaboration with Board Game Night (BGN) by bringing the story of the electric vehicle industry development, which is currently on everyone’s attention, to convey in the form of a board game that is fun and easy to understand.
