Banpu Chachoengsao and DMCR Unite to Launch the “Cooperation on Marine Debris Management at Estuaries” – Bang Pakong River Project on World Oceans Day​

Mr. Jirameth Achcha, Head of Corporate Services of Banpu Public Company Limited (5th from left), together with Miss Chatpraorn Niyom, Deputy Governor of Chachoengsao Province (6th from left), and Miss Chalatip Junchompoo, Director of Marine and Coastal Resources Research Center of Upper Gulf of Thailand (2nd from left), joined forces to launch the “Cooperation on Marine Debris Management at Estuaries” – Bang Pakong River Project. The project aims to promote the collective participation of relevant sectors in managing and solving marine waste problems sustainably; utilize technology and innovation to manage marine waste effectively. It also seeks to reduce waste in the Bang Pakong River by 30% within the project timeline in 2027 and create additional value from waste management to generate income for the community. These efforts align with the national marine waste management master plan and contribute to its success.
